Catchy Beach Boys tune that, ‘Help Me, Rhonda’. Perfect for our situation right now. As you have probably astutely guessed, we are not in Canada. We needed a change of scenery from Marbella with all the palm trees and beaches etc…boring. Also having our flights cancelled…again…possibly had something to do with being here, but an influx of alcohol has put the subtle nuances of the decision process just out of reach. Our friend Charo was more than happy to rent us her lovely apartment for however long it takes, and they even came down to Marbella, picked us up, and drove us to Ronda. How nice was that! Something always seems to turn up for us. So, we are good for now and very happy to be back here. Besides, from the nightly news, North America doesn’t seem all that appealing at the moment anyway.

This is a short post, more of a general update on us as opposed to a blurb on the sights and sounds on Ronda. Been there, done that. If we do something different, you’ll read about it here first! Meanwhile, we will chill out here for at least a month, go for long walks (now that we are allowed outside with no restrictions), enjoy the fresh mountain air, and plan round 5 (6?, 7?) with the airlines. It’s warm here too, like Marbella, but it does cool off at night so sleeping is easier. The universe has been telling us to stay in Spain, so I guess that’s what we’ll do. We hope to get back home sometime in July now and we tentatively changed our KLM flight from Jun 04th to July 8th. It was the only one of our 3 flights/connections still flying.
Time for another glass of wine!
ADDENDUM:…Sigh. Just got an email saying our July KLM flight is…cancelled. To quote Lloyd Bridges in his ‘Airplane’ role…’Picked a bad week to stop sniffin’ glue’…
Help me, Ronda!

Wow what a beautiful place to be on lock down. It’ll be great to be able to go out for walks and see all the sights without the tourists.
Enjoy what must be an amazing glass wine.
Cheers Lori
Hi Lori, we are loving it here!! the weather is great, and it is very quiet and peaceful. A perfect way to end our stay in Spain. We have entered Phase 3, which means that almost everything is open. Apparently Spain will be opening the borders to tourists in July, so things will start to get busy. But in the meantime, we are enjoying this beautiful city without the crowds.
