We\u2019re back. It\u2019s a good thing, \u2018cause we like it here.  I know most of our friends in BC and Alberta are going to be waving Mr. Puppet Finger at the computer screen when they read this but\u2026sorry.  With a month of snow in Vancouver and the rest of Canada colder than parts of the Antarctic, it\u2019s nice to feel the warmth again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a little cooler though when we got here (if you call 16 \u2013 18 with some showers cooler) but that was ok since we needed 2 days to get over the jet lag.  We\u2019re staying in the same place as last time which is 30 to 40 minutes away from the central tourist parts of town so we get our usual daily long walks in. But Lisbon, if you haven\u2019t been here, is very hilly, so we get a bonus cardio workout as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re here for about 3 weeks and since we did some of the tourist things last time, we\u2019ll probably just hang out and try to look like a local (hard to do when you\u2019re wearing shorts and the \u2018locals\u2019 have heavy coats on).  There\u2019s a lot to do here, like taking in some great Fado, and we haven\u2019t been to the other side of the river yet either.  We did manage to get back to the \u2018thieving women\u2019 market yesterday as it was Saturday and close by and we walked over to the botanical gardens today.  The posted admission was \u20ac1.50 but they looked at us and said it was free for us.  Wasn\u2019t sure if it was because we looked \u2018old\u2019 or it\u2019s free on Sunday.  Bonus either way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
