font-family: Calibri;\">The casa, on the outskirts of Ronda, was a nice home, large yard with a swimming pool, a Labrador Retriever, and up until last year, an Ostrich, but that\u2019s another story.\u00a0 For the price of a crack-shack garage in Surrey, this could be yours.\u00a0 It was an interesting conversation with our host Charo, her husband Antonio, and her son Carlos who was the Spanish\/English translator.\u00a0 Our Spanish was waaaay better after several pints of alcohol!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-812 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/travelblog.lewington.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Ronda-325small-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" srcset=\"http:\/\/travelblog.lewington.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Ronda-325small-1024x683.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/travelblog.lewington.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Ronda-325small-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/travelblog.lewington.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Ronda-325small-768x512.jpg 768w, http:\/\/travelblog.lewington.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Ronda-325small.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Carlos is an interesting guy though.\u00a0 He runs a gym close by and teaches Muy Thai martial arts.\u00a0 He trained for a bit in Thailand and fought professionally here in Spain and in south east Asia.\u00a0 He also starred in some local promotional tourismo videos for Ronda which he showed us.\u00a0 We\u2019ve included the YouTube links, so you can follow along.\u00a0 Apparently, there is a festival in May every year celebrating the Rondan victory over the invading armies of Napoleon.\u00a0 Pretty dramatic!\u00a0 Guys on horses, guys with muskets, beautiful damsels in distress, City of Ronda as a backdrop\u2026I get choked up just thinking about it.\u00a0 Ok, waaay too much alcohol.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Una agradable tarde en el campo!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/aTEz-VHzhEk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
